Monitoring

 

  • ICP monitoring:

    • Manage severe TBI pts using info from ICP monitoring (↓ in-hospital & 2-week mortality)

  • CPP monitoring:

    • Manage severe TBI pts using guidelines-based recommendations for CPP monitoring (↓ 2-week mortality)

  • Advanced cerebral monitoring:

    • Consider jugular bulb monitoring of arteriovenous O2 content diffn (AVDO2) to assist w/ mgt decisions (↓ mortality & improve outcomes @ 3 & 6 months post-injury)
